Violet in the Dimension Acrylic Premium range sits between Purple and Ultramarine Blue, delivering a deep, cool blue-violet that reads as shadow in twilight passages, the deep interior of iris and violet flowers, and the colour of distant mountains at dusk. Based on a combination of PV23 (Dioxazine Violet) and PB29 (Ultramarine Blue), it leans decidedly blue compared to Purple, and is most useful where a dark, cool, slightly blue shadow tone is needed rather than a warm purple. In the ultra-thick heavy body formula, it holds knife marks and impasto texture without slumping. Dries to a gloss finish with a Blue Wool Level 7+ lightfast rating. Available in 75ml tubes and 250ml pots.

What is the difference between Violet and Purple in Dimension Acrylic?
