Here at Art Shed, we do our best to ensure a quick turnaround on all orders, so that your package gets to the postie, and then to you, as quickly as possible. However, dispatch time doesn’t mean delivery time and once it is picked up from our warehouse, the time it takes to get to you is out of our hands.

Australia Post will attempt delivery of your item and if there is no one at home, they will leave a collection card so you can collect the parcel from your local post office.

If there is somewhere safe to leave your delivery, please make sure the 'Signature Required' box is not ticked.

Larger items are sent via Startrack Express. Their couriers will attempt a delivery to your street address and if there is no one at home, they will leave a card so you can arrange a more suitable delivery time.


Delivery information

We are unable to promise delivery timeframes, but tracking is provided for all orders once dispatched.

We recommend customers select Express Post for urgent orders, these will be dispatched with priority the following day, and delivery is normally about 1-2 business days for metro VIC, SA, TAS, ACT, QLD and NSW.  All 'Express' deliveries will require a signature and cannot be left.
For WA, Northern Territory, and remote locations it usually takes about 2-3 days.

Standard Post delivery can be expected within about 3-6 business days for metro VIC, SA, TAS, ACT, QLD, and NSW. For WA, Northern Territory, and remote locations it takes about 6-8 days.

If you purchase a large item that will be sent by Star Track Express couriers, delivery can be expected within about 3-6 business days for VIC, SA, ACT, QLD and NSW. For TAS, WA, Northern Territory, and remote locations it takes about 6-8 days.

*Important things to Note

  • If Signature Required is ticked on your order, it will be taken to the Post Office for collection if you are not home.

  • All Express Post deliveries require a signature, regardless of special notes or if the box is ticked.

  • Please be mindful that Victorian public holidays may affect delivery times. 

  • Orders placed on a weekend or public holiday will be sent the next possible business day.

  • It is up to the purchaser to follow the tracking provided and let us know if there are delivery issues within 30 days.

  • Same day dispatch does not mean same-day delivery, delivery times vary depending on your postcode.

  • We ship from our Melbourne Store directly to you, so you get your Art Supplies as soon as possible.

  • During sale periods the 11 am guarantee dispatch may be affected. 


Express Post

Express Post remains Australia Post's fastest postal service, but we can't promise it will guarantee next day delivery.


What are the different postage options?

eParcel Standard - This is the most commonly used postage method; we have a good deal with Australia Post and therefore are able to pass on those rates to you. The rates are calculated based on the size and weight of the items ordered.

eParcel Express - Express Post delivery network provides the fastest possible delivery.

Startrack Bulky Freight Delivery – In the case that your order includes bulky items it will be shipped via courier, we use Startrack Express. This applies to items over 22kgs, or larger than 100cm. Please note courier service fees can be higher than standard post charges.
NOTE - Express Post orders must be placed by 11 am to be dispatched the same day. Art Shed cannot guarantee next day delivery – once the parcel has been sent, it is in Australia Post’s hands and delivery periods to certain regions can vary. Also please consider public holidays, as they can affect the dispatch and delivery of your parcel.


How do I track my parcel?

Once your parcel has been sent, you will receive tracking information via email. You can also log into your account and find the tracking number there. Australia Post will also send you tracking updates, it's recommended to use the AusPost App to monitor your deliveries. It is up to you to follow the tracking, as we are unable to monitor the progress of individual deliveries.

If you have not received tracking information, and your delivery has not arrived within a reasonable time frame (7-15 days) - please contact us.

It is not possible for us to follow up with Australia Post after too much time has passed.


Issues with your order?

If upon delivery of your order there is any damage or discrepancy of goods supplied this must be reported to Art Shed within 7 business days of receipt of goods in order to be rectified. In this unlikely event, please send information along with photos to - our team will assess the concerns and do everything in our power to reach a resolution that is favourable for all parties.


Click & Collect – Melbourne metro only

We offer Click & Collect from our store at 475 Warrigal Road Moorabbin. Simply shop online, and the Click & Collect selector will appear as a delivery option after you have entered your address.

If you would like to have the order collected by a friend or family member on your behalf please make sure the collector has the order number and please let us know.

Click & Collect orders cannot be collected by couriers, Ubers, or Taxi drivers unfortunately.

You will be notified via email when your order is ready for collection from our Moorabbin store. Please allow 1-3 business days for your order to be processed. 


The terms and conditions for Click & Collect are as follows:

  • Please allow 1-3 business days for preparation of your order for pick up. Please note if you arrive earlier than the required 1 business day your order may not be ready to collect.

  • You will be notified via email when your order is ready to collect.

  • Orders must be collected from the store within 4 business days from date of collection notification unless other arrangements have been made with the store. 

  • If you are unable to collect from the store within 4 business days please contact the store before placing the order or elect to pay for the delivery of the order.

  • Art Shed reserves the right to cancel and refund the order if it is not collected within a reasonable timeframe.


International Orders - Shipping Outside Australia
We do ship to New Zealand; however, we are currently not shipping to any other countries.

Our prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and orders placed do not include import charges or levies to the destination country. Please check locally before ordering. Import duties and tax charges for the destination country are not included in the order total or postage charges and are the recipients' responsibility.

These are not additional postage charges as Art Shed Online pays all Australian charges in full before shipping your order.
