Art Shed is an award-winning Australian art supply store serving artists nationwide through our online store and our Moorabbin and Brisbane locations. National winner
Best Online Art Supplies Retailer 2026
Yes, the whole of Australia. We are trying to behave normally about it.
Art Shed was named Best Online Art Supplies Retailer 2026 in the Australian Enterprise Awards, presented by APAC Insider.
This national award recognises the work behind our Australian online art supply store, from detailed product information and practical advice to customer service, careful packing and fast Australia-wide delivery.
What began as a small garage-run online art supply business has grown into one of Australia's most trusted creative retailers. Today we serve professional artists, students, teachers, schools, families and enthusiastic collectors of art supplies across the country.
The website may travel Australia-wide, but it is powered by actual humans who know art materials, answer creative questions and understand that choosing between twelve shades of white is a perfectly reasonable way to spend an afternoon.
Being recognised nationally confirms that an online art store can be useful, knowledgeable and highly trusted without becoming faceless, boring or beige.

Best Craft Store in the City of Kingston, 2025 and 2026
Apparently one year of being the best was not enough.
Art Shed Moorabbin has been named Best Craft Store in the City of Kingston by the Quality Business Awards for the second consecutive year.
After winning in 2025, Art Shed received the award again in 2026, officially making us back-to-back winners. This continued recognition reflects the service, product knowledge, reputation and customer experience delivered by our Moorabbin team every day.
Quality Business Award winners must achieve an overall quality score of at least 95 percent. The assessment considers customer satisfaction, service, reputation and quality across multiple review sources.
We are enormously proud of the team. They help professional artists, absolute beginners, teachers, students and people facing urgent school-project emergencies, all with the same warmth, knowledge and enthusiasm.

2026 South East Melbourne Local Business Awards Finalist
Art Shed Moorabbin has been named a finalist in the 2026 South East Melbourne Local Business Awards, in the Antiques, Art, Crafts and Gifts category.
This recognition is especially meaningful because it reflects the support of the local community we have served for 20 years.
It belongs to our brilliant Moorabbin team, who share their knowledge, solve creative emergencies and enthusiastically discuss paint colours for a living. Frankly, they deserve an award for that alone.
The winners will be announced at The Langham Melbourne on Friday, 18 September 2026. Until then, we will be practising our surprised faces and deciding whether Art Shed purple counts as formalwear.

Since 2006, Art Shed has had one goal: make art supplies more fun, accessible and inspiring for everyone.
From our colourful bricks-and-mortar store in Moorabbin to our Brisbane location and nationally recognised online store, we help hobbyists, students, teachers, schools and professional artists find the materials and advice they need.
Our team includes practising artists and creative people who actually use the products they recommend. They can explain the difference between mediums, help customers choose the right canvas and discuss twelve shades of white without questioning how their life arrived at this moment.
“We have spent years building something special, a space that is creative, colourful and never beige. To be recognised nationally and locally means the world.”
Cindy Kent, Managing Director of Art Shed
