Getting the Most Out of This Tube

For sunset sky bands, mix Cadmium Orange Hue with Cadmium Yellow Hue toward the lighter warm areas, and shift toward Cadmium Red Hue closer to the horizon. Add tiny amounts of Titanium White to lift the tone without losing saturation. The key is to mix each band separately rather than blending wet-into-wet, which muddies the transitions.

For opaque covering power, apply Cadmium Orange Hue straight from the palette without excessive thinning. Because it is an opaque colour, adding too much medium makes it thinner and more transparent, reducing its covering strength. Use it thick and direct for the best results.
