Kent Urban Acrylic Paint Marker 3mm Fine Super Red
Our everyday low price
The detail the eye finds first. Kent Urban Acrylic Paint Marker 3mm Fine Super Red is a bright, opaque red acrylic paint marker with a reversible bullet and chisel nib for accents, handstyles, letter fills and sneaker details.
Why the Kent Urban 3mm Super Red Earns Its Spot
Super Red is a true, punchy red that stays bright on light and dark surfaces. In a 3mm nib it handles letter fills, outlines and small details equally well.
Use the chisel end for bold red handstyles with real thick and thin.
How to Use Your Kent Urban Paint Marker
- Shake it. Cap on, shake well until the mixing ball rattles freely.
- Prime the nib. On scrap paper, press the nib down gently a few times until the paint flows right to the tip. Do not pump it hard.
- Pick your end. Bullet for even lines and fills, chisel for handstyles and thick and thin strokes. The nib is reversible, so swap ends whenever you need to.
- Test first. Do a few strokes on scrap to check the flow and colour.
- Let it dry, then layer. Water based acrylic dries fast. Wait until it is touch dry before an outline, a shine or another colour.
- Store flat. Click the cap on firmly and store the marker flat.

Getting the Most From a 3mm Fine Nib
The 3mm is the everyday size. Use the bullet end for outlines, sketches and filling small letters, and flip to the chisel end when you want handstyle strokes with real thick and thin.
For bigger pieces, fill the large areas with a 6mm Medium first, let it dry, then come back with the 3mm for outlines, shadows and shines.
Project idea: write one word in a red chisel handstyle across a page, then outline it in Black once dry. Do it ten times and pick your favourite.

Questions About the Kent Urban 3mm Super Red
Is the Kent Urban Super Red a bright red?
Yes. Super Red is a clean, punchy primary style red that stays bright on black and white alike. The swatch above is an approximate guide only, as screens vary.
What is the difference between Kent Urban 3mm and 6mm?
Line width and coverage. The 3mm Fine draws about 0.8mm to 1.8mm with the bullet end and is the everyday size for blackbooks, outlines and detail. The 6mm Medium draws about 1.2mm to 3mm with the bullet and up to around 5mm with the chisel, so it fills letters and covers bigger areas faster. Lots of artists use the 6mm for fills and the 3mm for outlines.
Is Kent Urban paint marker ink permanent and waterproof?
Yes, once it is dry. The water based acrylic pigment ink is permanent, waterproof and UV resistant when dry, and Kent rates it for indoor and outdoor use. While it is still wet it wipes off smooth surfaces with a damp cloth, which is handy for fixing a slip before it sets.
Can I use Kent Urban paint markers outdoors?
Yes. The ink is UV resistant and waterproof once dry, and Kent rates the range for indoor and outdoor use. For anything that lives outside, like a painted deck, a helmet or a piece on a legal wall, a clear outdoor varnish over the top keeps it fresh for longer.
Will Kent Urban paint markers cover black paper?
Yes. The acrylic paint ink is opaque, so it sits on top of black card and dark surfaces instead of soaking in like dye ink. Light colours on very dark backgrounds may need a second coat once the first is dry for full, solid colour.
Do I need to seal Kent Urban paint marker art?
Not on paper or in a blackbook, where the dry ink is permanent on its own. On things that get handled, worn or left outside, like skate decks, sneakers, helmets and jackets, a clear sealer or varnish adds a tough top layer that protects your work from scuffs.
How do I swap the Kent Urban nib from bullet to chisel?
The nib is reversible, with a bullet tip on one end and a chisel on the other. Cap the marker and give it a shake first, then gently pull the nib out, turn it around and push it back in firmly. Clean fingers or a pair of tweezers make it easy. Prime it on scrap paper before you start again.
Where can I buy Kent Urban paint markers in Australia?

We ship fast Australia wide, and our team are artists who use these products themselves, so ask us anything.
