Kent Urban Acrylic Paint Marker 6mm Medium Super Red
Our everyday low price
Loud red, big strokes. Kent Urban Acrylic Paint Marker 6mm Medium Super Red is a bright, opaque red acrylic paint marker with a reversible bullet and chisel nib for throw ups, bold shadows, deck graphics and letters that grab attention.
Why the Kent Urban 6mm Super Red Earns Its Spot
Super Red is a punchy, true red. The 6mm nib fills letters and shapes in solid colour and does bold shadows in one pass.
It stays bright on light and dark surfaces alike.
How to Use Your Kent Urban Paint Marker
- Shake it. Cap on, shake well until the mixing ball rattles freely.
- Prime the nib. On scrap paper, press the nib down gently a few times until the paint flows right to the tip. Do not pump it hard.
- Pick your end. Bullet for even lines and fills, chisel for handstyles and thick and thin strokes. The nib is reversible, so swap ends whenever you need to.
- Test first. Do a few strokes on scrap to check the flow and colour.
- Let it dry, then layer. Water based acrylic dries fast. Wait until it is touch dry before an outline, a shine or another colour.
- Store flat. Click the cap on firmly and store the marker flat.

Getting the Most From a 6mm Medium Nib
The 6mm is the fill and outline size. Lay the chisel end flat and pull long, overlapping strokes for solid letter fills, then use the bullet end for bold outlines.
Let the first coat dry before adding a second, rather than scrubbing over wet paint. Finish fine details and shines with a 3mm Fine once everything is dry.
Project idea: do a three colour throw up on a canvas: Super Red fill, Black outline, White shines. Seal it and hang it.
Need the same colour in a finer line? Grab the 3mm Fine Super Red. See every colour in the Kent Urban 6mm Medium paint markers, or browse the full Kent Urban acrylic paint marker range.
Questions About the Kent Urban 6mm Super Red
What colours look best with Kent Urban 6mm Super Red?
Black and White for a classic three colour piece, Yellow for heat, and Turquoise for strong contrast. Red shadows under White letters on black always look sharp.
What is the difference between the bullet and chisel nib?
The Kent Urban 6mm Medium has a reversible nib with a bullet tip on one end and a chisel tip on the other. The bullet draws an even, rounded line of about 1.2mm to 3mm. The chisel is flat, so it gives thin and thick strokes from about 0.8mm to 5mm depending on how you turn it, which is perfect for handstyles and lettering.
What surfaces does the Kent Urban 6mm paint marker work on?
Kent Urban uses water based acrylic paint ink that works on wood, metal, glass, plastic, canvas, fabric, stone and most smooth surfaces. On glossy surfaces like glass and shiny plastic, wipe off any grease first, let each layer dry fully, and seal the piece if it will be handled a lot.
How do I start a new Kent Urban paint marker?
Shake it well with the cap on until you hear the mixing ball rattle. Then hold it nib down on scrap paper and press the nib gently a few times until the paint flows right to the tip. Do not pump it hard, or it floods. If it ever runs dry mid piece, cap it, shake it and prime it again.
Will Kent Urban paint markers cover black paper?
Yes. The acrylic paint ink is opaque, so it sits on top of black card and dark surfaces instead of soaking in like dye ink. Light colours on very dark backgrounds may need a second coat once the first is dry for full, solid colour.
How should I store Kent Urban paint markers?
Flat, with the caps clicked on firmly. Flat storage keeps the paint spread evenly through the marker so it is ready to go, and a tight cap stops the nib drying out between sessions.
How do I swap the Kent Urban nib from bullet to chisel?
The nib is reversible, with a bullet tip on one end and a chisel on the other. Cap the marker and give it a shake first, then gently pull the nib out, turn it around and push it back in firmly. Clean fingers or a pair of tweezers make it easy. Prime it on scrap paper before you start again.
