Kent Urban Acrylic Paint Marker 1mm Super Fine Super Red
Our everyday low price
The detail everyone sees first. Kent Urban Acrylic Paint Marker 1mm Super Fine Super Red is a bright, opaque red acrylic paint marker with a super fine 1mm nib for accents, handstyles, sneaker details and sharp linework.
Why the Kent Urban 1mm Super Red Earns Its Spot
Super Red is a true, punchy red that stays bright on dark and light surfaces. In a 1mm nib it becomes a precision tool for accents, outlines and tiny lettering.
Use it on sneakers, caps, decks, canvas and paper.
How to Use Your Kent Urban Paint Marker
- Shake it. Cap on, shake well until the mixing ball rattles freely.
- Prime the nib. On scrap paper, press the tip down gently a few times until the paint flows. Gentle is the word.
- Test first. Do a quick line on scrap, or on a hidden spot of the surface, to check the flow and colour.
- Draw with light pressure. Let the nib glide. Build colour in layers rather than pressing harder.
- Let it dry, then layer. Water based acrylic dries fast. Wait until it is touch dry before going over it with another colour.
- Store flat. Click the cap on firmly and store the marker flat.

Getting the Most From a Super Fine Nib
A 1mm nib rewards a light hand. Hold the marker a little more upright than a pen, let the paint do the work and build colour in a couple of thin passes instead of pressing hard. Pressing pushes the nib back and floods the line.
Work from light to dark and broad to fine: paint or block in your colours first, let them dry, then finish with fine outlines and details. Keep a scrap of paper beside you to dab the nib on when you pick it up after a break.
Project idea: write your name in a fine handstyle across a sheet of blank stickers in 1mm Super Red, outline in Black, and stick them on your laptop, deck or sketchbook.
Want the same colour in a broader nib? Grab the 3mm Super Red or 6mm Super Red. See every colour in the Kent Urban 1mm Super Fine paint markers, or browse the full Kent Urban acrylic paint marker range.
Questions About the Kent Urban 1mm Super Red
Is the Kent Urban Super Red a warm or cool red?
It is a bright, clean primary style red, sitting between a warm orange red and a cool crimson, so it plays nicely with both. Our swatch above is an approximate guide only, as screens vary.
Is Kent Urban paint marker ink permanent and waterproof?
Yes, once it is dry. The water based acrylic pigment ink is permanent and waterproof when dry and resistant to UV, so it suits indoor and outdoor projects. While it is still wet it wipes off most smooth surfaces with a damp cloth, which is handy when you slip.
What is the difference between the 1mm, 3mm and 6mm Kent Urban markers?
Line width. The 1mm Super Fine is for fine detail and small lettering, the 3mm Fine is the all rounder for drawing and mid size lettering with a reversible bullet and chisel tip, and the 6mm Medium covers bigger shapes and bold lettering faster. Most artists end up with a fine and a broad and switch between them in the same piece.
Will Kent Urban work on black paper and dark surfaces?
Yes, and this is where paint markers beat ordinary pens. The acrylic paint ink is opaque, so it sits on top of dark paper, black card, painted surfaces and kraft paper instead of sinking in and disappearing. Light colours and metallics really pop on black.
Can I draw over acrylic paint with Kent Urban markers?
Yes. Paint a background with acrylic, let it dry completely, then add your linework and details with the 1mm. Because the marker is also acrylic, the layers bond well. Let the marker dry before you varnish over it.
Can I use Kent Urban paint markers on sneakers?
Yes. Kent lists fabric among the surfaces the range works on, and the acrylic ink grips well on canvas sneakers. Clean the area first, build the colour in light layers, let each layer dry fully, and finish with a clear sealer so your design survives scuffs and wear.
Why is my 1mm paint marker blotchy or flooding?
Usually it has been pumped too hard or not shaken enough. Give it a good shake with the cap on, then dab the tip on scrap paper to soak up any extra paint. Use light, even pressure when you draw. A fine nib needs a gentle touch.
Where can I buy Kent Urban paint markers in Australia?

We ship fast Australia wide, and our team are artists who use these products themselves, so ask us anything. Kent Urban Super Red also comes in the 3mm and 6mm sizes, all in stock here.
