Ultramarine Blue is the cornerstone blue of the Dimension Acrylic Premium range and one of the most important colours in any acrylic palette. Based on PB29 (Ultramarine Blue), it is a deep, warm, slightly red-leaning blue that produces the full range of sky colours, rich darks, and deep neutral shadows through mixing. With earth tones it makes the most convincing natural shadow colours. With reds it makes violets and purples. With whites it covers the full arc of the sky from zenith to horizon. In the ultra-thick heavy body formula, it holds knife marks and impasto texture without slumping. Dries to a gloss finish with a Blue Wool Level 7+ lightfast rating.
