Do Posca markers wash out of clothes?
If the fabric hasn’t been heat-set, most of the pigment will rinse out with warm water and detergent if you act fast, though bright colours can leave a light ghost stain on cotton blends. Wash ASAP for the best chance of removal.

Are Posca markers permanent on clothes?
They become reasonably permanent once you let the ink dry for 24 h and then heat-set it (5 minutes with an iron on medium, no steam, cloth barrier). After that, colours survive normal cold washes, but avoid high-heat tumble-dry cycles to prolong vibrancy.

What not to do with Posca markers?

Don’t press the nib down continuously, over-pumping floods ink and wrecks lines.

Don’t store pens nib-down; ink can pool and clog.

Don’t add water or solvent to the barrel; it ruins pigment balance.

Don’t leave the cap off, tips dry hard in minutes.

How long do Posca pens last?
A PC-5M typically lays down about 300–500 metres of line. Shelf life is several years if you cap them tightly; flip or replace the nib when it shows fibre wear to squeeze out every drop.

Are Posca markers waterproof on glass?
Yes—after the paint cures (20 min) it’s water-resistant and won’t smudge with a damp cloth. However, you can still scrape it off or remove it with alcohol or window cleaner, so seal with a clear spray varnish if you need true permanence.
