Spectrafix Degas Fixative 946ml - Non-Toxic Natural Milk Casein

A non-toxic, workable, full archival fixative for soft & oil pastel, charcoal, Conte, coloured pencil, graphite, chalk, gouache, watercolour or any other delicate media. 

Works on paper, canvas, Yupo, glass, ceramic, stone, leather, wood, fabric (non-washable) etc. 

Use it under oil paints or acrylics to prevent underdrawings from smudging, or to layer in other media. Not suitable as a final varnish on top of oils or acrylics. 

Made from an antique recipe used by French artist Edgar Degas, Spectrafix is favoured by professional artists for its unique ability to permanently hold pigments without dulling colours, and because it is all-natural and odour free, you can spray your project indoors while you work. No more obnoxious odours or unhealthy fumes!

To use, spray a very light layer over your work, allowing 2-3 minutes to dry. 

Re-spray slightly heavier for 1-2 more layers.

Occasionally spraying your project while you work is better than only spraying when the project is finished.

Spectrafix dries to an invisible matte finish and can be reworked indefinitely.
