From first finger paintings all the way to imaginative craft projects, Art Shed has the quality supplies every young artist needs to explore and develop a lifelong love of art.

Safe, Non-Toxic, and Washable Paints for Peace of Mind

When children paint, mess is often part of the fun. Washable tempera and poster paints help make the aftermath easier, with formulas designed to wash more readily from skin and clothing. For best results, clean spills while the paint is still wet and follow the product’s care instructions.

Our kids’ range includes non-toxic options chosen with young artists in mind. Always check individual product information for age recommendations and specific safety guidance, particularly when purchasing for toddlers or classroom environments.

Kid-friendly does not mean dull. These paints can provide bold, bright pigments and satisfying coverage across paper, cardboard and craft wood, giving children colours they can see, mix and enjoy.

From Finger Painting to First Masterpieces: Choosing the Right Kit

Different painting formats suit different ages, activities and creative stages.

Finger Paints: Ideal for toddlers and sensory play, finger paints let children explore texture and colour directly with their hands. They are a wonderfully simple introduction to making art.

Poster Paints & Tempera: A practical choice for school posters, general crafting and larger projects. Their vibrant colours and easy application make them a staple for classrooms and creative afternoons.

Kids’ Watercolour Sets: Compact and relatively low-mess, watercolours are excellent for portable creativity. They are handy for holidays, rainy days or children developing their brush control.

Activity Sets: Curated kits containing paints, brushes, sponges or other essentials provide a ready-to-go creative experience. They also make thoughtful gifts for birthdays and school holidays.

Complete the creative setup with kids’ brushes and tools or kids’ paper and craft pads. For more activities, explore kids’ clay and modelling supplies.
