Note: A proportion of the oil in the oil stick is substituted with a neutral mineral wax, resulting in the stick form. Before use, the surface film should be removed. A new 'skin' will dry and re-form after a few days of non use. The surface film will allow you to keep your hands relatively clean.

Sennelier colours are of perfect quality: pure pigments are ground into vegetable oils (siccatives), selected for their low degree of yellowing with time. The choice and high concentration of pigments enables excellent light resistance to be achieved.

Sennelier Oil Sticks are lightfast, concentrated, and highly pigmented. They are made of a mix of traditional oil paints and neutral mineral wax. Oil sticks come in a range of 55 colours and can be used on all traditional oil painting supports, including canvas, prepared boards, and oil sketch paper. Apply directly to the surface or thin with solvent to apply with a brush. Can be used alone or together with oil paints.
