A hard cover notebook 13 x 21cm, which is narrower than a true A5 but the same height, ruled at 7mm, in Black. The cover reads as a flat true black with no blue or brown cast. Inside are 80 sheets of 140gsm acid free paper, roughly double the weight of ordinary notebook stock, which is the reason your pen stays on the page it started on. What 7mm ruling actually gives you

Seven millimetres is the classic wide-ish rule. It is generous enough that adult handwriting does not feel cramped and tight enough that you are not wasting half the page on air. If you write with a broad nib, a brush pen or anything with a bit of swagger to it, this is the spacing that stops your ascenders and descenders colliding.

Lines are the right call when the content is words and the order matters. Meeting notes, journals, lecture notes, drafts, lists that have to stay lists. At 13 x 21cm you get a full sentence without wrapping, which is the part people forget to think about until they are living with the book.
