Kent Urban Acrylic Paint Marker 10mm Wide Sun Orange
Our everyday low price
Hot colour, fat strokes. Kent Urban Acrylic Paint Marker 10mm Wide Sun Orange is a bright, opaque orange acrylic paint marker with a wide 10mm nib for flames, letter fills, sunset backgrounds and bold lettering.
Why the Kent Urban 10mm Sun Orange Earns Its Spot
Sun Orange is not in the 3mm and 6mm singles, so the 10mm Wide is a great way to add a big, warm colour to your Kent Urban kit.
It is bright and opaque on dark and light surfaces, and permanent once dry.
How to Use Your Kent Urban Paint Marker
- Shake it. Cap on, shake well until the mixing ball rattles freely.
- Prime the nib. On scrap card, press the wide nib down gently a few times until the paint soaks right across the tip.
- Test first. Do a swipe on scrap, or on a hidden spot of the surface, to check the flow and colour.
- Keep the nib flat. Hold the marker so the whole wide edge touches the surface, and pull it in smooth, overlapping strokes.
- Let it dry, then layer. Water based acrylic dries fast. Wait until it is touch dry before a second coat or another colour.
- Store flat. Click the cap on firmly and store the marker flat.

Getting the Most From a Wide Nib
Treat a 10mm nib like a small brush. Keep the whole edge flat on the surface and pull long, even strokes that slightly overlap. Let the first coat dry before adding a second, rather than scrubbing back and forth over wet paint.
Plan big pieces lightly in pencil first, fill the large areas with the 10mm, then come back once dry with a fine nib for outlines, shadows and highlights.
Project idea: paint flames up the nose of a skate deck with the 10mm Sun Orange, Yellow and Super Red, then outline them in Black once dry.

Questions About the Kent Urban 10mm Sun Orange
Is Sun Orange available in other Kent Urban sizes?
Yes, in the 1mm Super Fine Sun Orange and the 30mm Wide Flat. It is not in our 3mm or 6mm singles. Browse the whole Kent Urban range for every size.
What is a 10mm paint marker best for?
Coverage. A 10mm Wide nib is for letter fills, block letters, chunky outlines, characters and colouring whole panels of a skate deck, a canvas or a pair of sneakers. It does in one stroke what a 3mm marker needs ten for, so your colour stays flat and even instead of stripy.
What surfaces does the Kent Urban 10mm paint marker work on?
Kent Urban uses water based acrylic paint ink that works on wood, metal, glass, plastic, canvas, fabric, stone and most smooth surfaces. On glossy surfaces like glass, glazed tiles and shiny plastic, wipe off any grease first, let each layer dry fully, and seal the piece if it will be handled a lot.
Is Kent Urban paint marker ink permanent and waterproof?
Yes, once it is dry. The water based acrylic pigment ink is permanent and waterproof when dry and resistant to UV, so it suits indoor and outdoor projects. While it is still wet it wipes off most smooth surfaces with a damp cloth, which is handy for fixing a slip before it sets.
Will the 10mm cover dark surfaces?
Yes. The acrylic paint ink is opaque, so it sits on top of black card, dark wood, painted walls and kraft paper instead of sinking in. Light colours on very dark backgrounds may need a second coat once the first is dry for full, solid colour.
Can I use Kent Urban 10mm markers on glass?
Yes. They work on glass, mirrors, bottles and clear acrylic sheet. While the paint is wet it wipes away; once it is fully dry it is permanent, so test on a small corner first and plan your layout before you start.
Can I use Kent Urban paint markers on sneakers?
Yes. Kent lists fabric among the surfaces the range works on, and the acrylic ink grips well on canvas sneakers. Clean the area first, build the colour in light layers, let each layer dry fully, and finish with a clear sealer so your design survives scuffs and wear.
Where can I buy Kent Urban paint markers in Australia?
Right here. Art Shed Online is an authorised Australian stockist of Kent Urban, buying through the official Australian distributor, so you get genuine stock, never a grey import. We ship fast Australia wide, and our team are artists who use these products themselves, so ask us anything. Sun Orange is one of the colours we carry in the 1mm Super Fine, 10mm Wide and 30mm Wide Flat sizes.
