Each layer of the scene is printed on its own MDF panel. Once dotted, the panels slot together one behind the other, giving the picture real depth, and the sparkle catches the light from every angle.

About the Retro Portrait Design

How Diamond Art Works

1. Find your colour. Each symbol on the design matches a numbered bag of Dotz. Pick a symbol and find its bag.
2. Fill the tray. Pour a few Dotz into the tray and give it a gentle shake so they sit sparkly side up.
3. Load the pen. Press the tip of the Dotz pen into the wax so it is just sticky enough to lift a gem.
4. Dot the design. Peel back a small strip of the protective film, then press a Dotz onto each matching symbol.
5. Press and finish. When a section is done, press over it firmly with your palm so every Dotz is set.

Tips for Your Shadow Box

Dot and press every panel completely before you slot them together. A flat panel is much easier to work on.

Keep the panels in order as you finish them, then slot them into the frame from the back layer to the front.
