The colour: Pale Patina

Patina is the soft green that copper grows when it is left outdoors long enough to stop being shiny. Japanese colour naming has a close relative in byakuroku, a whitish green ground from mineral pigment. It is the gentlest cover in the range.

What a 5mm dot grid actually gives you

Dot grid is the compromise that mostly wins. You get the same five millimetre structure as graph paper, but because the page is dots rather than rules, nothing you draw sits inside a cage. Write across it and the dots vanish behind the words. Draw on it and they become registration marks.

Dots are the right call when one book has to do several jobs. Bullet journals, sketch notes, planning spreads, anything that mixes writing and drawing on the same page.
