Prismacolor Premier Colouring Pencil Set of 12 - Botanical Garden
Pinks and purples for petals, fresh and olive greens for leaves, a sunny yellow for the centres. The Botanical Garden set is twelve Premier colours chosen for flowers and plants, ready for your next botanical drawing.
Why This Set
This palette leans soft and natural: four pinks and reds for petals, three greens for leaves and stems, a lemon yellow for stamens, cool blues and purples for shadows and blue blooms.
Prismacolor Premier pencils have soft, thick, wax based cores packed with pigment. They lay down rich colour with very little pressure, blend into each other with a colourless blender or a light pencil, and layer up to a painterly finish.

Getting Started
Sketch the flower lightly in Non Photo Blue, then build each petal from light to dark. Leave the paper showing for the brightest highlights, or add them back at the end with a Premier White pencil.
Keep your kit sharp with the Prismacolor Cannister Sharpener and a Kneadable Eraser, and pick up a Premier White pencil for burnishing and highlights. Ready for more colours? Step up to the Tin of 24 or Tin of 48.

Questions About the Prismacolor Botanical Garden Set
What colours are in the Prismacolor Botanical Garden set?
Pomegranate, Pink, Pink Rose, Pale Vermillion, Lemon Yellow, Olive Green, Spring Green, Grass Green, Blue Slate, Non Photo Blue, Lavender and Dahlia Purple.
Are these the same pencils as the Prismacolor Premier tins?
Yes. They are Prismacolor Premier Soft Core pencils, the same quality as the Premier Tin of 12, in a themed botanical selection.
What paper is best for botanical drawing with coloured pencils?
A smooth to lightly textured drawing or Bristol paper holds lots of layers. Very rough paper leaves white flecks through the colour.
Can I use these pencils with water?
No. Premier Soft Core pencils are dry pencils. For washes, look at Prismacolor Watercolour Pencils.
Where can I buy Prismacolor Premier pencils in Australia?
Right here. Art Shed Online is an authorised Australian stockist of Prismacolor, buying through the official Australian distributor, so you get genuine stock, never a grey import. We ship fast Australia wide, and our team are artists who use these products themselves, so ask us anything.
