This little pup is pure happiness. Byron's Round Wood Dog shows a golden puppy with a big pink tongue peeking over a garden fence, surrounded by daisies and blue flowers, all on an 8 inch round of wood. Paint it, then hang it on a bedroom door, a kennel or the wall as a cheerful little plaque.

Why Paint on Wood

A wooden round feels different to canvas: it is firm and smooth, and the finished piece is sturdy enough to handle and hang anywhere.

It is a quick, rewarding project and a gorgeous gift for a young dog lover.

About the Dog Design

A fluffy golden puppy grins over the top of a wooden fence, with paws hanging over the rail. Bright daisies and blue flowers fill the green garden around it. Sweet, simple and very happy.

How Paint by Numbers Works

1. Set up. Lay the canvas flat on a table with good light and keep the finished picture beside you as your guide.
2. Match the numbers. Every shape on the canvas has a number that matches a paint pot. Open one colour at a time.
3. Paint dark to light. Start with the darker colours and larger areas, then move to lighter shades and small details.
4. Use the right brush. Use the bigger brush for large shapes and the finest brush for edges and tiny areas.
5. Check and touch up. Once dry, hold it up to the light and add a second coat anywhere the printed numbers still show.
