Summer in a circle. Byron's Round Wood Beach is a retro style sunset with a glowing sun sinking into the sea, curved palm trees and a soft sandy shore, all on an 8 inch round of wood. The warm oranges, corals and teals look gorgeous in a beach house, bathroom or bedroom, and it is quick to finish.

Why Paint on Wood

A wooden round gives a modern, crafty finish that looks great hung on its own or grouped with other rounds.

The flat retro style means big, simple shapes, so it is relaxing to paint and finished in a session or two.

About the Beach Design

A big setting sun in the centre of a coral and orange sky, with dark palm trees curving in from the side, gentle waves and a warm sandy beach in the foreground. Simple, graphic and very summery.

How Paint by Numbers Works

1. Set up. Lay the canvas flat on a table with good light and keep the finished picture beside you as your guide.
2. Match the numbers. Every shape on the canvas has a number that matches a paint pot. Open one colour at a time.
3. Paint dark to light. Start with the darker colours and larger areas, then move to lighter shades and small details.
4. Use the right brush. Use the bigger brush for large shapes and the finest brush for edges and tiny areas.
5. Check and touch up. Once dry, hold it up to the light and add a second coat anywhere the printed numbers still show.
