Bring the calm of the mountains home. Byron's Forest set shows a still blue lake beneath snow capped peaks, framed by tall pine trees, spread across three 23 x 35cm canvas boards. Paint one panel at a time, then hang them side by side for a peaceful landscape triptych that looks wonderful above a couch or bed.

Why a Triptych

Landscapes suit a triptych perfectly, as the scene carries naturally from one panel to the next. Each board is a comfortable size, so you can finish a panel in a single session.

It is a calm, absorbing project for the summer holidays and a great gift for anyone who loves bushwalking, camping or the mountains.

About the Forest Design

Tall green pines frame the outer panels, while the centre panel opens onto a clear mountain lake with snowy peaks and a bright sky beyond. Greens, blues and crisp whites give it a fresh, peaceful feel.

How Paint by Numbers Works

1. Set up. Lay the canvas flat on a table with good light and keep the finished picture beside you as your guide.
2. Match the numbers. Every shape on the canvas has a number that matches a paint pot. Open one colour at a time.
3. Paint dark to light. Start with the darker colours and larger areas, then move to lighter shades and small details.
4. Use the right brush. Use the bigger brush for large shapes and the finest brush for edges and tiny areas.
5. Check and touch up. Once dry, hold it up to the light and add a second coat anywhere the printed numbers still show.

Hanging Your Triptych

Hang the three panels in a row with an even gap of 2 to 3cm between them. Lining up the horizon across all three makes the landscape read as one view.
