Brown Gummed Tape 48mm x 184m

This specialised Gummed Craft Paper Tape has a water activated gum coating on one side. Ideal for framing your painting or photo, or to use when stretching your watercolour paper. With strong adhesion properties it can also be used to tape up packages for a more environmentally friendly packing solution than plastic tapes.

Ideal for preservation work as it is PH neutral and to remove at a later date just moisten.

Handy hints:

• Use a sponge or paint brush to wet the gummed side of the tape.

• Lay down gently and smooth flat with your hands. Leave to dry.

• To remove, wet the tape again with a paint brush and leave it to soak for a few minutes.

• Once fully soaked through, gently lift the tape by peeling back a small amount, about 2cm, then holding it vertically, slowly pull upwards and slightly away gradually lifting the tape from the paper. 

• If it starts to tear you may need more water, and to wait longer before lifting.
