Spray Adhesive is a useful alternative to other adhesives as it allows for a smooth, even coat of glue to be applied to a large area, avoiding mess and lumpiness. Ideal for artworks on paper, this Spray Adhesive from Bostik is heat resistant and suitable for use in heat prone areas. Spray Adhesive can be used for mounting photographs, printed materials, artwork, labelling, lining shelves with paper, sticking foils, and many other household solutions. It is ideal for paper, fabrics, felt, cork, rubber, polyurethane foam, and fibreglass. Always follow the directions and we recommend doing some testing before using on your art.

Handy hints:

• Shake well before use

• Hold can at a 45 degree angle, about 20-30 cms away from your work

• Spray in short bursts, or an even continuous spray, swiping evenly from left to right

• Avoid spraying the same spot for extended time

• Attach immediately after spray both surfaces

• Always clean the nozzle after use

About the Brand

In 1889, the Boston Blacking Company was founded in Chelsea, Massachusetts, USA.

A producer of leather colourings and dyes for the shoemaking industry, the company grew and in the 1920’s the Boston Blacking Company was established in 12 countries including Australia.

Several products were launched under the Bostik brand as early as the 1940’s, with the business taking on the Bostik company name in the 1960’s.

In 1980, Bostik was taken over, but the Bostik brand was kept as a stand-alone brand. 

In 2015 Bostik was acquired by Arkema and has been the ‘Adhesives Solutions’ segment of Arkema ever since.

Since 1889 Bostik has patented over 9,000 technologies, covering everything from aerospace interior adhesives to Blu Tack^®, growing from a local dye manufacturer to a global industry leader, and the brand has become a household name.
