Art Classes

Canvas Swap: Create a Collaborative Masterpiece

Join us for a lighthearted, hands-on art event where creativity and connection come together! Whether you’re a seasoned painter or have never held a brush before, you’ll have a blast creating one-of-a-kind collaborative masterpieces.

Each participant starts with their own canvas and paints for a set amount of time before swapping with another artist. You’ll continue building on each other’s work, layer by layer, until everyone has contributed to a series of unique and surprising final pieces!

Feeling a little stuck? No worries – we’ll have both written and visual prompts on hand to spark your imagination and keep the creative flow going.

Bring your friends and family for a fun, laughter-filled experience, or come solo and meet new creative minds. Book as a group of two or more to paint within your circle, or join as an individual and be placed with others for an inspiring creative exchange.

This event is open to all ages! Children must be accompanied by and collaborate with a parent or guardian, and should be comfortable participating in a seated two-hour session.

What’s Art Chat & Chill?

Art Chat & Chill is our casual community hangout — held monthly in-store. It’s not a class, it’s not a demo, it’s a vibe.

Bring your sketchbook, journal, current project or just yourself. Sit, chat, create, caffeinate, and hang with fellow art lovers in a relaxed, no-pressure space.
Sometimes we demo a new product, sometimes we just vibe to a playlist and play with supplies.
It’s free. It’s friendly. It’s very Art Shed.

Art Chat + Chill

Looking for a relaxed space to hang out, chat about art, and get inspired? Our Art Chat + Chill sessions are all about connecting with fellow creatives in a casual, welcoming environment.

Hosted at Art Shed, this is your chance to bring along your ideas, questions, or even just your curiosity. We’ll chat about techniques, materials, current trends, and whatever else the group wants to dive into. It’s less of a class and more of a creative catch-up - a way to share, learn, and connect with other artists in the community.

Whether you’re brand new to art or a seasoned creative, you’ll leave with fresh ideas and maybe even a few new mates.

This is an easygoing, interactive session - perfect for anyone wanting to dip into the Art Shed community without the pressure of a formal class.

What's the difference between a demo and a class?

• Free Demos:
  Think of these as casual drop-ins. No need to book, no pressure to participate. Our artists demo a product, technique or medium, and you’re welcome to ask questions, watch closely, and maybe even have a dabble. You’ll leave inspired (and probably with a new art supply on your wishlist). No commitment. No cost. Just creativity.

• Paid Classes:
  These are structured, hands-on sessions guided by one of our amazing artist facilitators. You’ll be walked through techniques, tips and projects - whether it’s drawing, painting, journalling or something else entirely. All materials are usually included, and spots are limited so bookings are essential.
