Uni-Pro Smooth Coat Synthetic Brushes are commonly seen as a trade brush, however they are a brilliant stiff bristled brush perfect for a range of artistic applications. These long haired synthetic brushes are great for blending large flat areas of a painting in both oil and acrylic and due to their soft smooth bristles they leave very little trace of a brush stroke in the paint. These brushes are also great for preparing your painting ground with Gesso or for your underpainting layer.

These brushes come highly recommended by Scott Christensen who is a renowned Seascape artist, and after talking with Scott I decided we should get these brushes in and give them a try. Not only are these brushes really affordable, they are fantastic for a range of applications whether working with Acrylic or Oil Paint. So far I have found them to be the perfect tool for applying paint to large areas of the canvas quickly.
