Workshop Overview
Want to learn how you can add a bit of shine to your artworks? This free guided demonstration will teach you how to apply and use gold leaf and leafing materials, as well as other techniques and relevant products to use in your future creative works. The space will be open after the demonstration is complete, so you can try it yourself.
Please note this is a free demonstration of our items and techniques, not a fully hands-on, paid class. While attendees will have the opportunity to try Gold Leafing themselves with our sample items at the end of the demo, it won't be the same intensive guidance as our classes.

There is no need to book for our FREE demos; drop in and let the creativity flow!

If you choose to join us in-store, please be aware that there is no access to disabled toilets. We request that you not attend any event if you feel unwell. Art Shed does not tolerate abusive or offensive behaviour. Please do not leave your children unattended in the store. Some events may be recorded for marketing purposes; please let the staff know if you do not wish to be filmed.

What's the Difference Between an Art Demo and a Class?

Art Demos – Free & Informational

Art Shed's in-store demos are free, sit-down sessions designed to introduce you to new art products and techniques. These events are usually lecture-style, with our experienced team members demonstrating how to use specific materials or mediums.

While primarily observation-based, some demos may include a small hands-on component to briefly try out the featured products yourself. They're perfect for artists of all levels who want to learn, ask questions, and get inspired.

Art Classes – Hands-On & Creative

Our paid art classes are hands-on workshops in which you create your own artwork while following along with the host. Art Shed provides all the materials needed for the session, and you'll receive step-by-step guidance throughout.

Classes are ideal for those wanting to build their skills, enjoy a creative experience, or complete a project with the help of experienced instructors. You'll walk away with a finished piece and new techniques to use at home.

Whether you're joining a demo or signing up for a class, Art Shed offers a range of inspiring events to suit all skill levels and interests. Check our calendar regularly to stay up to date with what's on.

We value your input!
